Fasting in Shaban
‘Aa’ishah(may Allaah be pleased with her)said: “The
Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast until we thought he
would never break his fast, and not fast until we thought he would never fast. I never saw
the Messenger of Allaah fasting for an entire month except in Ramadaan, and I never saw
him fast more than he did in Sha’baan.” Al-Bukhaari, no.
1833; Muslim, no. 1956). Read more........
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allah said: "The pre-dawn meal is blessed, so do not neglect it even if you only take a sip of water. Verily, Allah and the angels pray for those who have pre-dawn meals." This is related by Ahmad.
The Sunnah is to take it shortly before dawn. Narrated Anas, mAbpwh, that Zaid bin Thabit, mAbpwh, said , "We took the Suhur with the Prophet, pbuh. Then he stood for the prayer." I asked, "What was the interval between the Suhur and the Adhan [call for prayer]?" He replied, "The interval was sufficient to recite fifty verses of the Qur'an." Remember your Creator
If we really remember Him when we are happy and high-spirited, He will never let us down in times of difficulty and distress.Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) quoted Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as saying,He who would like Allah to accept his supplication at times of difficulties and anguish should increase his supplications at times of ease.
